Equal Opportunity Cell (EOC)
The Equal Opportunity Cell (EOC) of SMEF’s Brick School of Architecture was constituted in 2023, in accordance with UGC guidelines, to promote equality, inclusiveness, and a discrimination-free academic environment.
The Cell is committed to ensuring equal access to education, facilities, and opportunities for all students and staff, with special focus on individuals from disadvantaged and underrepresented sections of society. It actively works towards fostering constitutional values, social justice, and a safe, respectful, and supportive campus culture.
Objectives of the Equal Opportunity Cell
- To ensure equal access, participation, and opportunities for all students and staff without discrimination
- To promote an inclusive, safe, and respectful institutional environment in line with constitutional provisions and UGC guidelines
- To address and redress grievances related to inequality or discrimination through a fair and transparent mechanism
- To create awareness and provide academic, social, and personal support to students from disadvantaged sections
