Establishment and Governance
SMEF’s Brick School of Architecture is established under the
Satish Misal Educational Foundation, Pune, which is registered under Societies Registration Act 1860.
The Institute operates in accordance with the Trust’s governing statutes and institutional bylaws framed for academic, administrative, and financial management.
Statutory Recognition
The Institute and its B.Arch and M.Arch programmes function under the following statutory bodies:
Council of Architecture (COA), New Delhi
- Approved under the Council of Architecture Act, 1972
- Programme conducted as per the COA Minimum Standards of Architectural Education Regulations, 2020 & COA Minimum Standards of Architectural Education for Post Degree Programme, guideline 2022
Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU)
- Affiliated to SPPU under the Maharashtra Public University Act 1994 and Maharashtra University Act 2016
- Academic regulations, curriculum structure, examination rules, and evaluation systems are as per SPPU statutes and ordinances
